I haven't played since before RoS came out, I have a CM Wizard, I remember playing back when you'd just crank up the monster level of you wanted harder stuff and go hunt elites near some waypoint thing.

Now I see that like all of the items are Account Bound, so I dunno how trading even works and what in the world are Greater Rifts?

I've also heard from a ton of people that D3 is dead, and there's no point in even getting into it now.

Thanks for the help!

wat

games been dead for years

no trading anymore they removed that because it was too fun
no pvp still

greater rifts are like normal rifts except harder (it's the 'endgame' with no variety at all)

rifts is all you do in the game now - there is nothing else

if you play you will get bored and regret your mistake within a week and quit - 99% of the player base has. Only the idiots still play longer than that

Just giving you my 2 cents. I came back 2 weeks ago, after quitting in 2012.

D3 is a very casual game now. People who push harder in the difficulties do that for fun only, it has no reward at all.

But yeah, it's fun to play with friends (what isn't), legendaries drop all the time, and builds are focused on specific items and sets

I travel a lot because of my current job, and D3 is good way to pass time for me. I don't want to focus on x things in gaming anymore, just play and close the game hehe

if you want to have a deeper experience, I recommend Grim Dawn or PoE, even though PoE items are ugly as fuck, the game is really fun
