Do you need to be there to kill the goblin to enter a portal if it spawns or can you just join if the portal is open?

You can join if portal is open

I believe a gob that spawns vault portal you are able to join without being in game

While you need to be in-game when they open if they consume a puzzle ring


Rainbow portals are joinable without being in-game when it gets killed
