I'm no wizard at this, actually I'm a witch doctor. aha. bad jokes aside...
I've been playing for the past few days after not gaming for probably 2 years..
I've been enchanting and upping my int on everything because I don't have a clue what I'm doing and I see +damage and it gets me all excited.
So I have a nagelring, and I can't decide which stat to reroll, I've been searching for an item stat calculator and it seems none of them cover rings, or maybe I'm not understanding..

Nagel stats are:
+561 Int
+650 Vit
+467 Armor
Chance to deal 17% area damage on hit

I can reroll just about any of those stats and get one of these:
Crit Hit Damage increase
Crit Hit Chance increase
IAS increase
+Damage

I don't know how to figure out which one will benefit me the most..
P.S. I'm horrible at math.

Reroll armor to crit chance or crit damage and try to replace it as soon as possible, because there are much better rings than nagels

I personally wouldn't spend the materials to reroll that ring. I'd use as-is until you find better.

I don't just specifically mean the ring, I mean in general, it was just an example, I just don't know how to figure out which stat will benefit me best.

Just depends on where you are lacking.
If you're surviving ok, you should go for dmg.
overall go for 35-45% crit chace, and dump the rest into crit dmg

EDIT: I guess its important to state whether your part of a regular group or not. the gear that you would need differs with a group or by yourself

I split probably 50/50 solo/with my girlfriend.
Are there breakpoints or anything for crit chance, crit dmg, and ias like there was in d2?

You can use d3 planner if you want to test different stats on items before re-rolling

But usually you only want aoe damage if you are doing high grifting
You want chd to be 10 times higher than chc

Assuming that you are softcore you can roll a bit more damage heavy

Keep in mind however that sometimes it is better to keep a low stat roll such as chd to get a core stat rolled
