I think that even if D3 is disapointing to a lot of players that may or may not have high expectations, season 7 is the first season that nothing new was implemented.
I say give Blizzard more time to get a chance to annonce something at blizzcon.
And if by season 8-9-10 there is still nothing added to the game, then i would say yes, they are letting it go...

Yes, and they improved every year from the start. On many aspects.

I'm not saying that its a good or bad game (because that is very, VERY subjective), i'm just saying they kept improving from the start, and that season 7 is the first season i see no real improvement in the game.
