So I have a regular zDH with great gear and it works just fine

however..

I came across a build and have all the correct gear for it..but does it work?

Bolas/Spike Traps Freeze zDH...

Replace Entangling with Bolas (freezing strike). Replace Marked for death with Spike Traps (Echoing Blast)

Cube:
Loenine Bow of Hasir (pulls in enemies within 24 yards)
other two are whatever based on what gear you dont have (Nems, strongarms, elusive, whatev)

You use Calamity still, but drop bomb rutsack and pick up Fortress Ballista for a 30% absorb shield, refreshed every time you attack in any way.

Still 2 piece marauders for all companions (with zoeys belt still)
Still illusionary boots
Still garwulf chest

Add in TWO PIECE UE set to generate 2 hatred 1 discipline (if you're good at this build you'll need this because you multi a lot, you spike trap a lot, and you bola a lot! And its less CDR so wolves doesn't return as much hatred)

Bracers are strong arms (or cube them and use wraps or nems)
^^^Does this build benefit from strongarms or is it useless? do strongarms stack or no? do others get the benefit of MY strong arms?


Either CUBE the RoRG or use one...
What other ring or rings!?

Ameths in both weapons for bazillions of life on hit, more than you'll ever need. You do NOT die.


So basically you go around and shoot multishot every 3 seconds like normal to keep that buff up..

Keep wolf up 100% also (By using spenders, so easy.. or use cubed ring if you for some reason cant)

spike trap (Up to 6 at a time, hatred consumers but very effective.. freezes anything in 8 yards of them)

and use bolas to freeze AND pull in enemies.



I feel like this is waaaaaaaaay better than the normal zDH build... But I don't see many using it.

Anyone? Opinions? Comments? Concerns? Questions? HELP!

Freezing enemies is bad, it makes them immune to being pulled. You will actually hurt your group, they might even be better off playing 3 players then playing 4 player with you using this build.

zdh was used to replace barb, it works good up to grift 10x iirc after that barb becomes the meta

Interesting theory. I just tested it out.. I can freeze them and pull them.

So if I am doing this:

Multishot (1-2x)
Bolas + freeze + pull (1-10 casts, super fast casts)
Wolves (1x)
Spike Trap (1-6x)
Repeat.

Everything around is being pulled, then frozen on the stack point.

I agree its not good for pushing. But have found that it works rather well for speed's in a group with an archon wiz.

This is pretty much perma CC @ stack point.. its working much better than you're saying for speed's under 100 with correct setup.
