Evening folks.

at the moment i'm working on rerolling some level 60 gear to start into ultimate evil edition on the ps3 and a question crossed my mind

what kind of levels of attack speed, crit chance and crit damage do i need to go into high torment.

i know that with paragon levels i can add 10% attack speed, 5% crit chance and 50% crit damage. but to do that i need to get a few hundred paragon levels

i'm talking about the kind of levels i need to roll on my gear

from my experience in vanilla diablo 3 i know the best sources for those stats are the gloves, amulet, bracer, rings and sometimes helmets and belts (I have 2 sweet level 60 witching hours just waiting to be rerolled

so the question stands

I would just find lvl 70 gear and ditch your 60 gear cause they will be useless...

Typically attack speed is totally dependent on your build. Specific characters use it.
In terms of a character that utilizes attack speed, you generally use a witching hour, get base attack speed on your weapon and rings.

All characters:
The rule is critical hit dmg on your rings, amulet, gloves, and gem on your weapon. The max crit dmg you can get on your items (minus a weapon with base crit dmg or witching hour which is class dependent) is 330%. You want every bit of it.
The rule is critical hit chance on your rings, amulet, gloves, helm, bracer, and off hand. The max crit chance you can get off of items is 54%. Again, you want every bit of it.

Where you gain the majority of your damage however, is on gems that the greater rift guardian drops. The more you level your gems the more damage you are going to do.

the level 60 gear is for level 60 characters. i'm just starting back into ultimate evil edition with 5 level 60 characters plus a level 30 hardcore monk.

you're right about attack speed

having a decent amount is important for all classes. but only the melee characters get the full use of it once you reach a certain point

where i can with the gear i have i've been trying to roll for a trinity (crit chance + crit damage + attack speed) with mainstat on gloves, amulets and rings

if i cant get that then i go for crit damage with either attack speed or crit damage (i usually only do that if the gear i'm working on either has elemental resistance, life per second or a socket)

my first order of business once i've finished setting up my gear will be to make some hellfire rings
