Is there any Wizard build currently (outside of Archon) that's viable? Or are they just worthless for this season?

Tal Rasha is probably the way to go if you wanted to play in groups, it's just not as good as WD or static monk so nobody will want to group with you.

Archon is better DPS, but only in dense maps where you can keep a large number of archon stacks.

If you are just using it to run t10/speed rift low GR's a Wand of Woh/Del-Rasha Wiz can be a lot of fun.
You slow the heck out of mobs and do a ton of dmg with % buffs from Tals and bubbles.
