There isnt any trading and its just based on luck, you either get it or you dont now matter how long you play.
People get like 1x furnace drop from paragon level 1 to 500, on average, from what I have seen. Gl having that 1x drop being an ancient item.

I also dont see the point in competing with others when blizzard doesnt do anything about bots, a lot of the people in the higher grift ranks tend to just bot 24/7 until they have the paragonlevel/gear.

I know you guys like to pretend this is something special but it isnt, the reset doesnt serve any purpose like an economy reset or an incentive to try a different build. You just start from scratch and nothing changes. Most people will end up playing the same build with the same items. lol
