So does everyone use ROS xpac? Anyone just play the classic d3?

I've just played the starter edition...should I go any further?

I don't think anyone plays without the xpac..

Don't go any further, the trolls will come soon to tell you how amazing this game is but it's not.
The games tagline is "games's shit"

If you enjoy/ed diablo 2 then this isn't the game for you, it's a disgrace to the series and still has massive core issues which blizzard don't seem to want to sort out.
The game is dead about 2-3 weeks after season because people are bored due to lack of endgame.

Suggest playing anything else unless you have extra money to burn or you have a heap of friends who actively play it.

Regards,

Not many play the game dude. I'd suggest downloading path of exile if you are looking for a game like d2

if you don't have friends actively playing you're way too late to give diablo 3 a try, it's your decision ultimately but i wouldn't suggest playing otherwise

its a grind game with the core elements being broken and catered to a pvm mindset which is mostly exploiting in game bugs to achieve the best experience

each season they give a little more instant gratification so people will come back for a couple weeks and then they realize it's the same shit with a new asshole

this game will not last another expansion unless they fix the broken core, if they attempt to break the core further with another expansion it will flop really hard

To answer your questions in a few words.

Most use the ROS xpac, there is still some people that play without the xpac not many though.

Did you like the starter? I was a big fan of 1 and 2. But the game eventually gets boring for anyone that plays softcore (Why I switched to hardcore). And there is still close to 100k + on NA servers people playing the game. It won't die for awhile due to the seasons.

From what I can gather from current and previous comments, Blizzard wanted to make money. They made a game that did not appeal to the experienced d2 gamer. Instead, they went after kids and non d2 players and put it on consoles...because the game seems ridiculously easy. It seems very time consuming... am I on track here? Stupid easy and just lots of clicking with pretty graphics? Can you imagine if the project managers would have been more inspired off of D2? There's not enough nostalgia from d2-d3. The story line is neat but it feels like a different game. No PK? Yeah, I won't be whipping out the cc just yet.

Thanks for feedback.

better off playing a moba if you want a slightly decent pvp experience, you will not find it anywhere else anyway, if you're basing your yes or no on diablo 3 having pvp i feel truly sorry for you

Way too serious of a post. You feeltruly sorry for me? Weird...

D3 is easy. Its just click click click. Make it challenging. I've tried POE, its fun and difficult.

Unless you're desperately holding onto $50 dollars and can't afford a meal I'd buy it. I've only been playing it a week but it's pretty fun. Keep in mind it is much different than D2 in fundamental ways (no trading, haven't seen any pvp)
