If you haven't used a gift on it yet then I'd roll the socket into dmg and add a socket with a gift. If that socket is from a gift then I'm not sure.

Roll life per hit into 10% damage and if you have problems surviving, roll it to vitality instead.

he already used gift

so there is only 2 options. reroll basic damage or life on hit

and reroling life on hit is best option to 10 % dmg or vita as CeePee already stated
