Just getting back into d3 and am hearing things about Kanai's cube. How does one go about getting this item?

There's a new zone in act 3 that you have to explore to get it after talking to Zoltun Kulle.

Here is an unnecessarily long video describing how to find the cube - among other random bits of information the recorder feels like sharing with you:

Kanais Cube will be part of the next patch 2.3
In adventure mode you have to speak with Kulle in town.
After that go to the new waypoint in Act3 "Ruins of Sescheron"
Fight until the end and you will recieve the cube.
After finished that you will find the cube in town near Kulle.

Very easy, there's a new zone in act 3 that you have to explore to get it after talking to Zoltun Kulle.
