was the question so difficult?

which weapon is better for a wizard?
1. 1000 damage per second
2. 50 damage per second + 100 Int

I use azurewrath on 360 with high damage roll 9% Damage 7% attack speed with socket which has 2560 damage ( I like.this weapon because it freezes on hit 24% of the time (so no ancients) weapon damage will boost your overall dps alot if you already have very high intelligence from armor and source (over 9k) but dont forget the importance of critical hit chance and damage. So if you have your end game armor pieces and source having a weapon with a very high damage range will boost your overall dps alot.

But having said that intelligence on weapons will also be great.

Hope this helps.

intelligence is a multiplier on the damage of your weapon. If you have a 1k dps weapon and a 2k dps weapon... if the first weapon brings you to a total of 10,000 intelligence and the second brings you to 5000 intelligence you will have the same effective damage.
Use the higher base DPS weapon.. the intelligence isn't different enough.

Note: this makes several simplifications about average damage and related phenomena.

U new to d3?

Weap dmg always better than int.

U can always get int elsewhere but weapon gives you tons of dmg incease.
Plus your skills are mostly based off on weap damage.
