I use arkhan set. Which will drastically reduce your cooldown for akkarets champion which gives you about 70% more damage and makes you tough as nails. Then you can pretty much go with whatever skills you want. With enough cooldown stats such as in gloves/weapon/helm you can have it running 90% of the time.

would the smite gem work well with this build?

Go with Roland's sweep attack build and use taeguk, bane of the trapped , and esoteric alteration gems..

Which one up on dfans is the cookie cutter build for solo, rifts, and low gr? Kind of the UE fire build of saders

If you looked at the leaderboards like I suggested, then you would know the answer to your question. No one uses akkhan's anymore, because roland's is superior. If you looked at the leaderboards, then you would see how virtually everyone uses the exact same build/gems.

Hammers, Justice, Zerk, Consencration. thats only what i can recall
