I admit I'm a packrat and I tend to keep a lot of stuff that looks like it might become useful some day. I've seen items like Fist of Az and Sledge Fist be BIS, then be worthless, and now be popular again, so I hate to throw a good one away. This is the first time I've joined seasons, and I don't know what to expect at the end.
I bought the deluxe version of RoS, so I've got 15 characters. I keep so much stuff that all of my mules are level 70 so I can store gear on them, and all of my followers on every mule are full as well, and my in-town stash is full in my seasons and non-seasons characters.
I know there is supposed to be some kind of system where Blizzard sends all of your seasons loot to your nonseasons account using some envelope or something, but I don't know if that basically just contains the contents of the in-town stash, or if it also contains the gear the characters and followers were wearing and the contents of each character's personal backpack as well.
Okay, so here are some of my questions. I'll use the term in-town stash to refer to the chest in town, and backpack to refer to the personal stash where you carry loot that you pick up during battle.
1. When season ends, do all of my seasons characters simply become non-seasons characters, and all of the gear they are wearing, and all the gear in their personal backback, and gear their followers are wearing, stay in place and transfer to non-seasons as they are? This is probably my biggest question, and if the answer is yes, then all I have to worry about is the items in the in-town stash, and that would be especially helpful.
2. If the answer to question 1 above is yes, then do I need to have space in my non-seasons in-town stash to receive the entire "envelope" of seasons loot in one delivery, or can I migrate pieces a little at a time over the course of a couple days, while I compare and prioritize which items from seasons and from nonseasons are the ones I prefer to keep?
I'd appreciate advice from those veterans who have survived this transition once or twice before. Please advise how the "nitty gritty" of this migration takes place.
1. yes
2. separate "envelopes". It's a redeem queue so you can pick and choose between your items, and delete the stuff you don't want.
