Hey guys. I tried D3 back when it came out and was a bit underwhelmed. I played for a while and quit. Now I've been contemplating coming back, but I'm seriously overwhelmed with all of the changes: T1-6, rifts, ancient items, rerolls, etc. I watched some videos, and there are different looking maps. I'm just lost.

Is there a good place to find info on just how the game works or the flow of stuff like leveling, item collecting, paragon levels, etc?

Sure ill help

Paragon levels are earned from grinding
Ancient items come from grinding

ill cut to the chase, basically you are going to be doing the same exact thing over and over, non-stop, and every once in a while you will craft something.. which requires grinding. If you quit because of the dull gameplay then dont expect to be around too long.

if you like slots, diablo 3 is your game... you don't even have to worry about losing or winning... plus there's no worry about trading or anything

it's really the ideal game: you can pick it up whenever you like, and you are right where you left off... and you will never get confused about where you left off last, because you're always doing the same thing anyways :)

an awesome feature too is that you can battle your friends in an arena style match... the best part is that everyone dies in one hit, so no skill has any unfair advantages over the other, and items won't matter...

one last thing to mention: if you really want a challenge, you'll want to compete for the highest paragon level, it takes a lot of skill and planning

i lied there's one final thing to mention: you'll be happy to enjoy the new ancient weapon system... players complained about legendaries being too rare, so they upped the drop-rate... then they released ancient legendaries, which essentially makes legendaries 10x more rare yet again... the fun part about that is you can always expect blizzard to reverse balance patches in a way that the average diablo 3 player can't figure out... keeps the game alive and well, with an excellent player-base, and a thriving community that enjoys a thought-driven fast-paced strategy game, with a strong item economy and an excellent PvP and ladder system that really keeps things interesting...

You will start near Tristram, move north east towards the gate, kill the monsters until you can open the gate, enter town.
More later, sorry at the office now

Don't listen to this, this is a scam!
What this guy and his clan do is lure people into thinking that there actually is a community and clan-like activities in d3, and they make you farm so you become stronger so you can beat other clans, but they keep delaying every clan meet-up with wierd excuses like internet probz etc, oh boy, that's only the start, then they make oyu farm more so you can finally beat up those fags from the other clan, but in the end they make you realize that there is no other clan, matter of fact, there aren't anyone aprt from you losers playing the game, but once you realize that it's too late, and they will start demanding items and in game gold, maybe even real money for you to leave, and you can't do that cause everything is like boa and you are broke as fuck irl too, so now there is nothing else to do than to play d3 and cry yourself to sleep at night. And that's my theory of why people still play this game. first fag saying it's not legit will suffer from nut-cancer.
