Consider this just for fun - I know the % extra experience just from rushing someone T6 is far greater than what we can get from gear, so gear isn't going to make a big difference, but all the same, is this the maximum? Have I missed anything? Do "monster kills grant +xxx exp" work if you're just standing by the door and not doing any killing?

Tier VI (1600%)
4 Players (30%)
Level 1 Weapon Socketed with Level 25 Gem of Ease (+1750)
Level 1 Hellfire Ring (45%)
Level 12 Leoric’s Signet (30%)
Level 15 Socketed Blue Helm with Flawless Royal Ruby (41%)
Level 18 Leoric’s Crown with Flawless Royal Ruby (82%)
Level 23 3 x Cain’s Fate – Pants, Boots, Gloves (30%)
Level 40 3 x Cain’s Insight – Pants, Boots, Gloves with Level Requirement Reduced by 30 (50%)

If you want to be specific in your list, then you could include the obvious benefit from a full 4-man group, which I believe is 10% per person, so 30% more? You could also get +monster XP gear (260 max).

All that matters is the gem of ease for people not trying to break the leveling record.

So with the Gem of Ease, it doesn't matter that the person wearing it isn't doing the killing?

No. All you have to do is be in the portal. You don't even have to be close to the killing. If I'm rushing someone, then I always tell them to sit at the entrance, then teleport to me when I progress to another level of the map.

A decent gem of ease with no XP gear at all = 1 regular rift to level. T6 already provides a shitload of XP, so the gear is only a drop in the bucket.

Edit: T6 = 1600% XP

Edited first post. Adding all the integer values per kill could make this quite complicated, but seems like a good start :)

it's important to note that all of the +%exp are additive not multiplicative. The one exception i;m not sure of is the multiplayer one, that might be multiplicative as I haven't checked it in a long time.

Updated to include Born's Command. Thanks DreamDancer

Tier VI (1600%)
4 Players (30%)
Level 1 Weapon Socketed with Level 45 Gem of Ease (+2750 per kill)
Level 1 Hellfire Ring (45%)
Level 12 Leoric’s Signet (30%)
Level 15 Socketed Blue Helm with Flawless Royal Ruby (41%) [replace at Level 18]
Level 18 Leoric’s Crown with Flawless Royal Ruby (82%)
Level 23 3 x Cain’s Fate – Pants, Boots, Gloves (30%) [replace at Level 40]
Level 40 3 x Cain’s Insight – Pants, Boots, Gloves with Level Requirement Reduced by 30 (50%)
Level 40 3 x Born’s Command – Shoulders, Sword, Chest with Level Requirement Reduced by 30 (20%)

I tried this last night with a few items on this list and self rushed myself from 1 to 45 in about 5 minutes of playtime. Pretty crazy. So I'm focused on getting even more now.

What's the best way to get these low level Legendary items like Leoric's Signet at Level 12 and Leoric's Crown at Level 18? Can I gamble them with shards? Should I be those exact levels, or lower/higher?

good question. its just really random so it would be hard to say. but in all honesty if your doing 1 to 70 in 25 to 35 minute. that's already superb!!! (one of main things ive learned that comprimises speed more than anything else is a bad runner that doesn't listen. for the most part Ive power leveld people both ways with exp gear and without exp gear. its really that not much of a time difference, the main thing ive noticed to a fast power level usually is the runner has to listen, cooperate and stay on his feet and not die!

1 to 45 is very impressive. I think thest ive done was like 1 to 30 in 5 minutes. the first lvls aren't really shit. its 50 to 70 that takes up the bulk of the time to power level

I had some other gear to help too like an Ancient weapon to put the Gem of Ease into, which also happened to have almost 300 exp per kill, a Hellfire Amulet, and a Blackthorne's Chest with Reduced Level by 30, which I put 3 x Rubies in (Barb).

I know none of this is necessary, as 1-70 is super fast regardless, but it's still fun to play around with and try :)
