bola shot+spike trap DH with inna chest and HA quiver is kind of a bad example

attack speed is a love-hate thing, you can't sacrifice other offensive stats because you will just go out of hatred and don't even scratch the enemy but if you have slow attack speed then you will take like 0.7 sec to place a trap and it will amplify the 1.2 sec arming time on spike trap



I think if you have like top10 gear (with spike trap bonus Nat's Embrace and Ele Arrow DML, not some shitty Inna chest), you are able to do MP7 or MP8 fast (except for the elites that don't stay on your traps)
and by fast I mean really fast, not those 1 minute elite kills and like 30 sec to align the white mobs, so you can kill them easily

the order for dh is

Dex, crit, avg dmg, crit dmg > Vita > Res > armor > Attack speed

Slow attack speed also lets you use builds like strafe and rapid more effectively as you're not burning through your hatred in a flash

I never stated you need attack speed. The guy asked for upgrades. He had the worst crafted Bracers I have ever seen and could have picked up some cheap Lucini's until he crafts better bracers.

I also never stated that I was a pro DH, but have learned quite a bit over the last few weeks. Just cause I asked Break Points doesn't mean I don't know anything. I quit right before Paragon was introduced to D3. A lot has changed sense and a lot of mechanics now are figured out allowing more viable builds and adjustment on gear.

Also I just took a high DPS Dh to give me an "example" I am not a cookie cutter who just follows what other people consider to be good. If that was the case I would have rolled a Barb again.

I find it to be a love hate thing such as Cyverbeni said. I personally use Grenades / Tinker for my hatred regen. I find that APS helps me in sticky situations when Playing Mp10. Personally though I gave up a lot of APS my self to get more damage because I don't care about Paper DPS like you think.

they should've fixed strafe (and TR for monks) a long time ago, like they did with WW (it has base cost per second and some additional cost based on attack speed, so you use more resource with more attack speed but you don't go full to zero in 3 seconds)
maybe some other channeled skills too
tbh, I wouldn't spend too much on DH before itemization patch (they are going to change some skills too), max like 500 mil - 1 bil

It is an assumption. No where did I say you need attack Speed. Your forgetting to quote his post where he wants to farm Mp3-4 where that extra damage from Lacunis makes his life much easier when he 1 shots everything with auto hatred reneging skills.
