Yes, the way this works, is whatever element does the MOST dmg on a given ability after all calculations are done is the one that comes out on top, which dictates the animation you see, snare effects, etc. Theoretically, if you had a 5% lightning WKL and a 6% cold SoJ, and used a non elemental attack, you'd see cold damage with SoJ and Light DMG without. Not sure about if they are both 6% but I suspect it would randomly changed based on random number procs.

Exactly! Cuz what people were REALLY exploiting was the CHD aspect of it. You can still swap for lifesteal, and blind buff, but it's not crazy anymore yay for legit monks, haha

First of all, I like to congratulate you on awesome crafting, I have yet to craft anything worthwhile. (except my WD ... all his gears are either crafted or self found)
Your hellfire is beast and pure dps ... and I just jizzed looking at your HF ring.

My rare ring has some dmg, but mostly for ehp.
Since I stacked 70+ all res on both of my rings, I don't like using my SOJ except for Ubers, cuz I dont worry too much about ehp during ubers (I regen life super quick)

Put a radiant amethyst in your helm will get you about 50K life. (no need to get to p100 that quick)
You problem is .... your HF is too good to give up.
You lose 7cc if you swap SOJ for Nats ring.

Here's what I would do.
Get a nats ring with high ehp, vita / % life, 70+ all res, cc (sounds expensive though)
Swap your HF with SOJ depending if you want general dmg or elite dmg.

Thats just my opinion ... others might disagree.

Actually, When I have hard ring choices like that (usually for pvp situations), I switch boots AND nats ring. So, if you are facing breaking nats combo for some reason, consider swapping the boots as well to sweeten the deal. Otherwise, what jet suggested sounds great to me too.

is 500+ all res / 40k+ hp reasonable for mp10? need a little advice on my monk from the veterans here

currently looking for a new trifecta nats ring after selling off my old trifect w/ AR...very tempted to buy the duped one with gold find%..but right now im just looking for more dps

No you dnot need more hp with that kinda stats.

For pvp ... its a little different, I switch to:
BT chest w/ vita gems
Innas pants w/ vita gems
Ring with similar stats and more vita
Innas helm with SR, all res, vita
Dual fist with SR and vita
