yeah so definitely balance those two out even if you have to sacrifice crit chance to do so. Right now you have a 40% chance to do 150% more damage, which isnt as good as a 30% chance to do 300% more dmg. Aim for 30/300 for now and then upgrade as you get them to get into the 40/400s - that should help with dps

We did mp10 CotA like 25x few hrs ago and i droped an WH there... besides lots of essences and millions of xp...

i want to share with my elite-focused tr/bell build

based on spirit regen ~11/s + FoT quickening
tr for high movement speed to search elites,
bell as main dmg provides crits 1-1,4mlns dmg
easy and fast farming mp 7-8, mp 10 takes a bit to kill elite even with soj's 360k dps :D
ultrafast search & destroy gameplay brings more fun imo than taking whole hordes of white mobs as 90% monks with dual wield builds

Hey all! I tried out the TR/Bell build on my exceedingly poorly geared monk today, and I have not had more fun in a while! The skill selection seems pretty straightforward, however I do have a few questions regarding specifics gearing for the build.

1. Given that a Skorn will be used (as seems pretty uniform as to everyone doing this build) is the 4 piece Inna's bonus worth it? It strikes me as a bit of a dilemma having to give up a witching hour to gain ease of spirit management.

2. Is Inna's helm (with spirit regen of course) 100% mandatory, or under some circumstances would Andy's/Mempo more suitable? I guess this would be entirely dependent on your overall spirit regen, so is there a common benchmark at which point dropping Inna's helm would be doable?

3. Should I consider Lacuni's due to the IAS boost? Will it make a big difference considering the slow APS of Skorn, or is it better to spec more defensively here with rares?

4. I hope to be able to use a Hellfire ring for the exp boost while lvling, and this brings up a ring issue. I only have 2 ring slots, and 3 rings I wish to use. Hellfire, Nats Ring (for 2 piece) and SoJ. How highly do you value the SoJ spirit and utility bonuses vs the straight power of the nats ring? I saw someone get around this by using a hellfire + soj, and then using killer zuni boots for the +8% poison damage. I'm uncertain whether neglecting the nats set entirely is a good idea (or feasible from a monetary perspective, cuz the zuni boots i saw were godly).

Any thoughts on these matters would be greatly helpful!

4x inna's set is used for TR build for farming low mp 0-3 mostly for exp and u wont reach enough dmg for high mp

innas helm with spirit regen is best choice for spirit spender /spirit regen comes from helm+ring/ if u cant buy mempo with cc but You loosing a lot of spirit regen and usually there will be lack of spirit during fight

You dont need aps from lacuni for scorn build imo, rare /craft/ with high dex/res/6cc is best choice

nat + other ring is best choice :D /helfire isnt so much helpful with new patch imo/
soj if u want to go for spirit skills like bell, eg. unity if u want boost your dmg and got spirit reg enough /like 12-14/s without soj/

i do play with 4 set inna and hellfire ring on mp10 (farming trash).. its good due to low sw cost, but i feel myself very limited in terms of resists and dps :)

Given a crit damage of 400% without an emerald in your weapon (say a 2h), is it better to use a marquise ruby or mq emerald in the weapon? Anyone do any marquise socketing recently? ty

/e Firemace and I are currently testing this out and apparently the emerald is marginally better, anyone else?

since 2h are very slow i think cd scale better than dmg
