The funny thing is that I thought I needed serious gear upgrades but it turned out I was just using the build incorrectly. Once you practise enough and learn to manage the spirit, attack with bells and spirit generator, don't stand in desecration/molten/plagued/magewraith spin/etc, attack when reflect shield is down and so on you can do mp10. Play some runs with some of these guys to get a feel for what it's like on mp0, mp5, mp9-10. I generally solo since I play on a laptop and rubberband like crazy & don't want to be a liability on anyone, but you guys (anyone) can add me and we'll hook up when I'm on. Btag in signature

I play in windowed mode on the world's shittiest laptop (circa 2008 12" Macbook) so I totally feel your pain. Also couldn't agree more - not standing in things on higher MP levels makes a huge difference (OH LORD I HATE MAGEWRAITH SPIN). The other thing I try to do is against packs that put a lot of shit on the ground is try and save my Bell spam for when I get caught in it all and can't move out. With LL it's really easy to keep yourself up that way until you can Serenity and reposition.
My buddy and I are always looking to play with new people so will def hit you up sometime (:
