My buddy has this problem and I think the problem, at least with him, is that he tries to play mp7+ the same way you play mp0-1 with TR as your main attack when it is NOT your main attack. Bells are the main attack, then use FoT:quickening or your spirit gen when you run low, TR to transit between mobs. Spirit management is key and you should be simultaneously watching both orbs like they are your life; make sure when either one gets below 50% you rectify that - if your life is dropping spam some bells to lifesteal, if your spirit is getting too low don't let it, but start using fist of thunder to generate more spirit.

Serenity is good, but ally is very valuable as a distraction and spirit generator.

tl;dr - use TR for movement, WoL bells for your attacks, manage spirit/life actively

When I get my lvl up higher I will probably switch over... TR is easier to switch into pvp anyways isn't it?

really? I just thought spirit regen would be huge for pvp and you have alot of that with TR

The only gears you need to have spirit regen is helm and soj.

And once you get better at managing the spirit, you really don't need any from the gears honestly.

Just runned MP7 in party with Jet, was smooth, i think i just need to play more as tr bell... Made 26x essences...

Greetings! Just wanted to say that this thread / community inspired me to recently make a Monk, as I needed a change from playing DH and Wizard.

Not sure! Link me your character so that I can see (: How much resists/armor do you run? I think mine are ~710/5.2k?

My Critical Hit Damage is lower than I would like, but since I am off-handing my Echoing Fury I just got one loaded up with LOH and LL (: Maybe that is why? Previously I was only running ~1200 LOH and MP7+ was hard for me. When I switched to 600 LOH and 2.8% LL I felt a noticeable jump in survivability.

The funny thing is that I thought I needed serious gear upgrades but it turned out I was just using the build incorrectly. Once you practise enough and learn to manage the spirit, attack with bells and spirit generator, don't stand in desecration/molten/plagued/magewraith spin/etc, attack when reflect shield is down and so on you can do mp10. Play some runs with some of these guys to get a feel for what it's like on mp0, mp5, mp9-10. I generally solo since I play on a laptop and rubberband like crazy & don't want to be a liability on anyone, but you guys (anyone) can add me and we'll hook up when I'm on. Btag in signature
