The only thing you may "need" is likely a two hander. I haven't seen many dual wield tempest rush builds, though anything is possible. Soj is a good choice and shouldn't be too expensive. Should have 2+ spirit regen. Inna helm w/ SR is also helpful. Other than that you can usually use whatever gear you have and if your spirit regen is low you just won't be able to turn on the TR jets and infinitely rush around the map; You will need to manage spirit and be more tactical but it's doable still. What's your profile again, I lost it. I had it somewhere

You can still do TR dual wield, it's just that a slow 2h weapon manages spirit the best. Yours, the spirit will run out because of faster attack speed, but that's ok. You won't be able to do an "infinite tempest rush" build, but can still try that build I linked up there. Test it out, see how your spirit is and if you lose it too quickly, you may need some swap-out gear like a soj


Ya, bishop indeed. I got a 28/1.8/5/11FoT soj on stash.... I just want to know because if im going to run with other monks with TR i will never catch em w/o TR hahaha

A good test is to dismiss the templar, setup your TR build and then TR in town and see how fast you lose spirit while channeling TR. If it's going down too fast, and take into account you'll want to spam bells from time to time, you'll need spirit regen. Your gear is so good I wouldn't recommend swapping much out other than *maybe* the soj. Soj gives good off paper dmg and that lightning FoT soj will synergize well with your WKL already adding lightning dmg.

Also, attack an elite pack (turn on dmg display #s) and compare your crits w/ soj and w/o to compare the dmg gain/loss. If you gain a lot w/ the soj then it's a great bonus spirit regen and dmg (vs elites). If it goes down, hopefully not too much since the added regen will be needed to "keep up" as you said. What's your build?

See what they use in game so you can keep up with TR in terms of build (fleet footed e.g.) and all be on the same page/coordinated. TR used to have a list of requirements in terms of "necessary gear" but now it is much more versatile. Just remember most (pure) TR monks don't dual wield with fast attack speed, so you may find it hard to keep up at all times.

ya im hiting real fast with enchantress (ias and defense spec) im hiting 2.74 atm. Using FoT and bells, with serenity, SW, mantra of conv and BoH... Farming 24~27 essences per h now on mp7

That build works well for dual wield but will give you trouble if you're trying to hybridize tempest rush into it to keep up with your buds - you will have no spirit. I use air ally instead of serenity and it gives 100 spirit every once ina while, and acts as a CC device. Your stats/gear is 100x better than mine to be able to safely drop serenity, but it's personal preference. Just another spirit generator. If you are the one who isn't specifically spec'd to run TR, you may want to swap to mantra of healing: circular breathing so you increase your regen, have someone else run overawe.

So you asked what to change to keep up with TR monks? Swap your build and use a soj if the dmg decrease isn't too bad or atk speed loss.

4 TR/Bell Monks farming mp7 is fun as hell. It's insanely fast. haha

Try playing with 24% after couple runs with TR. You suddenly don't want to play. LOL

i have 500 million total
so maybe spend 150 total on both since they are most important?
or how much + what items?

THe fun build I prefer is Tempest Rush + Wave of Light.

500mil should get you a pretty nice one that can farm high mp, if you get used to the playstyle.
