It depends if you can afford to lose dmg / defense stats from your regular ring.
I have all 3 SOJs and they all work fine.
I use FoT as main attack, so I like my FoT SOJ the best.

I think Jin uses the WOL one with cripplying wave.

palm spell is viable for high mp but i think palm soj sucks for pvm.

This. Palm soj is only good for certain pvp build.
