jinshin that would be nice, I dont have enought time to duel all the good guys with my monk and something complex would be nice. some yt videos would be even more helpful to prove that your tips are valuable vs good pvp characters.

could you or other monk beat up det0x barb or keen witch doctor for example?

If I have the same level gears with those guys, maybe yeah. But I will never get those billion per slot gears. I cant play all day like some people do.

I don't know how to make vids but ill try for sure.

But the guide will start with basic gear set up/skill set up for different classes. Then just discussion after that.

With the same lvl of gears, monks can compete with any classes good except DHs. DHs are just designed to be on top of monks in general.

But just like this, DHs cant beat WDs. So its all good.

Ive had a bit of success killing a few of my friends who push 400k damage unbuffed on their DH. The secret seems to be serenity, retribution, and Exploding Palm! DoT em, and hide behind walls and try to catch em with a bell.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Not saying we can't ever kill DHs. I killed plenty of DHs from jsp. Some of their gears are insane, but their games aren't that great.

BUT, top end DHs who PLAY very well can't be touched, period. These are the DHs who shit on the barbs without getting Rended ever.

Rend is a AOE dot, but our Palm is sadly not. It's almost impossible to land a palm on these DHs.

It's not about how much dmg the DHs are pushing out. It's not hard to push out insane amount of dmg on DH. DHs who are pushing more than 250k shooting chemical burn will hurt monks BADLY.

The general strategy against good DHs is just kite til they come to you. Blind with 4 sec when they ss and chase us. Wait for them to come out since we can see how they are blinded then palm them. And we gotta kite til the blind is up again.

OR we can go TR/Bell build and fly around the map. When blind/serenity is up, close in / blind / wait til they pop out / bell or sss. If you missed it, fly out and kite til the cds are up.

Good DHs ss right timing and sneak up to us where we hide. With tactical advantage, if they can guess where we are hiding, they can basically ss before we see them across the screen and shoot at us in the face.

And even if we maximize our ehp, that doesn't help much since the problem is landing a palm which is impossible. lol

I think im done gearing :D
at a point where im pretty comfortable. It was the chest and Witching hour i bought today which ended my quest

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Recon-1386/hero/827436

at this point, any upgrades other than crafts are far out of my price range, hah.

210k with my 2h
190k with my WKL

(if you see something i missed, such as more EHP or damage from replacing something, let me know! im not the brightest monk on these forums)

Nicely done and very well balanced.
I can only see minor side-grades witch involves crazy amount of gold ... not worth it.
But if you really wanna add more dmg = mempo w/ crit and inna chest with high dex (pricey though)
Wait until you find a nice drop ... to justify it.

Anything I should change up skill/gear wise? I feel like I'm pretty well equip for my skill set up. Not much interest in PVP style with Monk.
** All res gear is so gear is compatible to swap onto DH

For sure, mempo is def my next purchase, only have 120m atm, but once that number hits 450 ill look into a cc mempo. Dont want to get a 3.0 cc one, but no way im saving up for a 6.0, hah. I figure a 4.5 is fair

If you get a cc mempo, you will need to spend another couple hundred mills for a nice Inna's chest. haha it just goes around and around!

This is why I use Blinding Echo. ESPECIALLY against *GOOD* DHs who are counting your blind CD. It automatically goes off a second time, so if you time it right, they will walk right into it, or you'll be in the right place at the right time. DHs can be so hard, especially tanky ones, since it seems like they can just heal to full between SS when you dent them. The trick, as I've learned, is to force them to SS and not spend your spirit. You go all out once you've gotten them to spend all their disc. It's not easy, since with a good DH, 1 mistake = serenity CD, and 2 mistakes = dead.

Yep. lol

do or die baby

we miss and out of serenity = dead

If the gear/skill lvl are on the similar lvl, we definitely start with penalty.

they can make mistakes all day long. we can't make mistakes.

other classes are fine. all very doable.

and that flash rune is fun to use. but the problem was that once DHs die to that couple times, they get used to it and it becomes pretty useless. so gay

and i like pvping against tanky DHs with sentries and whatnot because they like to facetank me instead of kiting. haha no they can't tank me.
