A couple more questions:

- What class is easiest to learn/get into for dueling in general (assume it doesnt differ between HLD and LLD)?
- What class is cheapest to make?
- I see most people make WD's/Barb/Wiz, does it mean DH's and Monk's really suck?
- Where do you guys get ur gear? I'm on Europe and there is virtually nothing worthwile to buy. Especially not weapon (no higher than 45-50 dps for 1 hands).

1. Probably monks
2. They're basicly the same
3. DH's are sweet, my main class as well :] Not sure about monks, but they seem fine
4. AH or Act 1 in NM

1. there all about the same difficulty
2. no such thing as cheap " well geared" character
3. monks dont have as many +dps skills and the ones we do have a big spirit spenders, but i like my monk, Ive dueled against demon hunters and use to have 1 for my main, no character sucks its all in how u play it.
4. i spent about 15+mill on my gear, and self found a couple of descent peices, im still no where near where i want to be lol

Theres a difference between healing for an unconditionaly 1-2k hp and healing from a very small % on a skill AFTER all the pvp reduction (which is often higher than 80% total).

there are many sources of healing in the game and if we would go after each one of them it wouldnt end.


you were answered already but ill give you my 2 cents anyways cause you know... people like giving their opinions

- every class is brainless. what differs is how well you play it and that will come with practise. but its a VERY easy format to learn.
- every single item is bought on the AH and each piece vary between 50k to 2-5 mil igg. there is no price difference between each class.
- all class can do well, but wd defenitively has an edge over all of the other classes. barbs and monks are probably on par and the bottom 2 dh and wiz on par as well. no one made a notable wiz as of now so its not getting any attention.
- about 95% of your gear is going to come from the AH and there are other llders out there that browse for the EXACT SAME items as you. you need to get lucky/browse regularly. from what ive seen everyone can get decent gears if you put in some effort. there are no supply / demand here exept for the particularly insane items (there are maybe like 5 of these in the entire realm). the first one that sees one item is usually how it works. good items come and go every day.

what u guys think about this idea?

Breath of Heaven 60 sec duel = 5096 minimum - 6116 Maximum (this is spamming it on CD and gettin 4 casts in, during the 60 seconds.)

Rend with 9% of all dmg to health (Every1's rend does a different amount of dmg, but lets say EVERY rend u hit during a 60 second duel crits, and your a monster barb, so your rend does 4k per application, this is roughly going to give u 360 life per rend, lets also assume u manage to keep rend uptime at 100%, which is also almost impossible, it IS actually impossible against monks with serenity because they can clear your bleed after they see u apply it, aside from that.)

So lets take this 360 number that would almost be IMPOSSIBLE to hit against any1 since u would have to be a god basically to crit on every rend, 360 x 12 = 4320, thats 4320 health back, if u crit every rend, and keep it applied 100% of the time during the duel. Obv this is just VERY ROUGH math, but its pretty simple to see, theres no way in HELL rend gives anything CLOSE to the amount of health u get back from breath of heavens. Not even CLOSE.

Also considering rend is the only thing we have monks dont DODGE.... iluld.

Why don't monks use shields?
I assume it's not impossible to get to about 2aps with just 1 weapon? The dps difference between shields and 2 one handers is irrelevant imo..
Is it because of the passive that adds dodge for dual wielders?

having 2 weapons costs you a passive slot, and monks have a variety of good passives. people using 2x 1handed weapons are usually people that did find a 60+ dmg weapon pre-socket and/or didnt find an appropriate shield.
