Why cold > fire? Does cold have more dmg output (with cold skills)? or is it the slow addition that cold has that makes it better?

make it pretty stronk

also yeah the slowing factor is amazing to me

not sure if overall dmg is higher but I do know the highest ranked DH for grifts did cold

Is it worth having mixed elements until I can find items to go 100% cold? Right now I have like 73% fire but I think there is only 1 piece I can reroll to cold atm. So I would have 53% fire, 20% cold. Is it worth it to do it that way or keep 100% fire until I can save up new gear?

Im using cold ammy/bracers with cindercoat atm until I get TnT

or I may swap to the nice maras chest I just found and maybe use mages since it was higher dps output total.


Ive seen people run hybrids but like I said, cull of the weak is 20% more total dmg and the gem is like 15% starting off

so thats 35% total damage you have to keep in mind.

I wouldn't reroll fire gear id just craft new ones or something

I've actually never seen a TnT drop. Using magefist atm.

20% DMG boost matches elemental affix

And you get 15% extra damage to Elites at Rank 25

but it isn't 100% of the time and yeah 15% elites is cool but like I said

not sold on it yet
maybe ill try it out for a while


also im trying to figure out if I wanna spec full cold and get rid of ballistics as a passive or keep arsenal and spitfire

from what I'm reading the cold spec options for these two are mainly just more chilling and slowing of enemies. the fire specs all shoot rockets so maybe over all I'd be better off keeping these two as fire and wearing Mages til I got TnT
