theres the foreground and back ground frame rates in graphic settings. forground means that diablo 3 is the currently selected window, and background means that like your surfing the internet, or picking a song on itunes or something while d3 is open but just not the active window. so set the foregorund to 30 ish and see how that works.

i use fraps so i can tell what my frame rate is at, ran d3 with 80 cap on frame rate and saw that i was averageing 40-50 fps, so i roll at 30.

I have been playing my WD for the past few months.....but it can't really do anything past mp3.

This brings me back to my monk....I have about a 200m budget, wondering what route gear wise I should take.....anyone out there give me a few words of advice?

Wait wait wait...you cap your fps and it solves your RUBBER BANDING issues?? I gotta look into that...

I get 60 almost all the time with vsync, so maybe I'll put it to 30 and see what happens.

vsynch, syncs the frames with the with the refresh rate of your monitor, forcing you to have 60 frames regardless if your computer can handle it or not, it can prevent issues like frame tearing but it really isnt necessiary if your not getting any frame tearing with it off.


and like lowering the frames dosnt sollve it, it just makes it so the game dosnt put as much pressure on your processor, memory, hard drive, network, and graphics card. alot of the time lagg and rubber banding is because your computer is being pushed too hard and just cant keep up, while some of the time its the blizzard servers. lowering the frame rate isnt going to prevent all the rubber banding but youll likely notice a drop off of occurrences.

When gearing up a monk whats the best ring to put in the other slot besides nats with a dual wield WKL cookie cutter build?

Would an SOJ with FoT be the best for higher mps?

SOJ with SW. But it's only good for elites.

Either unity with as / litany with as / rare with shitload of stats + combination of as/cd/cc.

It all comes down to what your stats are without one ring. If you are lacking in some stats, you gotta make that up on that last ring slot.

If you are good with ehp without any ehp from the ring slot, go for the unity.

If your ehp isn't that good, go for the litany.

You just feel like wearing a yellow ring, go for the rare.

for bell build, get a cc for bell skill +5% / bonus to elite +26% / +1.5 spirit regen

It can cost shitload of gold, I would suggest getting one around 30million. Don't go below those 3 criteria.
