Yeah, that's how it works.

To me, it makes sense that it would be 445/445/96. That gives the 890% from tooltip and probably reconciles the descrepancy.

/e: also take into consideration, bonus avg dmg is added into wpn dmg for calculation, so you need to add all the jewelry into the min-max calculation for weapon dmg. Plus bonus to elites, ele%, etc etc.

Oh yeah, I actually wanted to put a radi ruby on the skorn to see what gives me more bell dmg though.

Do you guys think? The paper dps looked pretty similar when I swapped the gem last night. Didn't have time to play though.

If it's worth it, maybe I'll get a marquise ruby. But not sure yet.

in the case of bells, the sheet DPS is a good reference... whichever gem gives your higher sheet DPS will give you better bell dps

also, base damage is not so good on skorn because it already has high base damage... 100 base damage to 1400 dps is like 15%? 100% crit damage at 50% crit should be much more...

Budget?

I'm currently running with this (sub cyclone strike for bells - I was dual wielding and switched weapons)

This is not top-tier equipment, and the ammy was crafted. Had to spend a lot of time after a 7 month absence picking apart the AH to find lowball deals.

The most notable was the Skorn, which was on the AH for 5 mil. It had been up for about 2 secs when I pulled the trigger.

I've still got a LOT of work to do to improve this guy, but he is ripping apart mp7 with lots and lots of bells. Bells are everywhere lol.

Ultimately I want to dual wield, but I've noticed that even with scaled DPS similar to with the Skorn, the damage was considerably less. I venture that's due to main hand damage, which is why the Skorn provides me with 1.1 mil crits on wave of light. Also, am not using blinding flash because yes, it does provide a bonus, but its got a CD and I'm lazy to wait for it to pass.

Love to hear everyone's thoughts. I'm still working on this guy and will continue to do so until I reach PL 100.
