Question, so average dmg on jewelry makes the on screen dmg high since it scales with aps.

I figure the reason why the bell build works so well with skorn is the extremely high base weapon dmg which directly affects the bell dmg.

Does that mean even though the on screen dmg won't go high with the average dmg with skorn set up, the actually bell dmg should go up high?

Make sense at all?

My rare ring has like +40 average dmg, I can change that rare ring with something else for more on screen dmg but didn't know which is better.

Just a thought.

Really anything outside of Attack speed should scale the same. Skills use weapon damage after all calculations, not just the base weapon damage (so it takes dex, avg dmg, etc). Crit/chd will still benefit bell "after" that calculation. Unless they're doing some crazy backward calculation it should basically net out that only Attack speed doesn't scale the same (since it just affects time between bells).

That makes sense. But the skill dmg on Bell is just so very huge that the base weapon dmg gets amplified more than other skills.

There's a fine line for aps on this build since too high aps would lower the edps since we won't be able to spam the bell constantly, if we are spamming it "too fast".

Just looking for ways to get the most burst dmg with constant bell-ing

Yes, bell scales best with avg dmg, ele% dmg, and crit/CHD. IAS isn't gonna do much for a bell build.

I usually have leftover spirit when I'm constantly spamming it in fights. I guess a little bit more as would help me to spam faster which should increase the effective dps.

And the thing with attack speed on this build is that. There's a quite long animation from dropping the bell to moving. This gets cut down with higher attack speed. This is actually pretty huge.

Because some situation, you wish you can move right after you drop the bell. This goes for the farming as well as pvping.

So, attack speed is beneficial for the build, but obviously not to the point where we are draining the spirit too fast.

This is sorta like a Zombie Bear for WD. Finding the optimum point where you are spamming the bears as fast as possible without going completely out of mana.

I haven't found what's the optimal balance of spirit regen and attack speed though.

We should test more and find it.

couldnt have said it better.
i actually would LOVE to have fast spam speed with my skorn on lol.
cause ive been playin wit my Echo + WKL setup and i was using those bells before it was cool cause im a hipster... but anyway, ya when its high attack speed you can move around so much after which helps alot and whats more funny lookin then droppin 5 bells into a pack in 1.5 secs lol. And then you can just FoT to regen back some spirit and it wont be turtle speed since you have faster attack speed. So id only imagine what fun it be with a very high amount of attack speed using a skorn setup. Just id prolly have to go in a party play to do this cause if i tempest rushed... id 1 burn all my spirit fast, and 2, id leave the party behind lol.

I guess if i were to do that id have to use a tal armor and im not really too fond of the idea of using a tal armor right now ... really kills my ehp even with a good defensive stat'd one and id have to drop my spirit regen inna for my mempo. Hmmm ill see how bad or how decent the spirit regen gets with a attack speed setup on skorn. I may be relyin on FoT to regain most my spirit though : /. Guess that will be the first thing i test this weekend (gotta spend my first few hours mfin those plans and then try sellin them for decent price before they get flooded in AH haha). I'll be competeing with hunterghost doin that :)

That's true, but also need to consider that lower IAS actually helps generate spirit from TR as well, which then can help ensure you start each fight with a bell, rather than needing to build up spirit with another attack. It will definitely be a fine balance, especially when you can start subbing in DPS actives/passives if you get SR high enough. The question of IAS gear gains versus using different skills opens it up even more...

I wish I had enough free time to build a good model like I did in wow :\
