I'm not sure about that, unless your idea of completely face tanking everything is different from mine. When i think face tanking, i think of running from nothing, going up to countless elites any affix and just stopping them right where they are (a4 4 player games). They don't leave unless they run or fly away. Arcanes, chains, frozen, desecrator, plague, elite death explosions, etc... You do not kite any of this, you take it as it is.... and you don't freeze things like a wizard!

That build looks fun though, i'll definitely try it when i get some gold to spare.. But for now, I'm going to take on the ultimate tankers test... an enraged belial.

It doesn't need to kite, becaus everything dies instantly. Elites die in 3-5s max, in solo game with this damage. And you heal very rapidly, because you instnatly grab all health globes from entire screen. If you burst elite pack, they spawn multiple large health globes (at certain levels of their health, and when they die). Trash dies to one cast of soul harvest.
It isn't any type of glass cannon, can survive multiple hits, while spirit walk isn't active. Nothing one shots you with 70k hp, 600 all resist and 3.5k armor in this game anymore (it survives even a baneling hit). Usually you can take like 4-6 hits, even more from trash. Also when gruesome feast kicks in, it increases inteligence to about 4k, which increases all res by another ~200.
The spirit walk that resets all the time, is also huge help. If you rush through content, for example in keeps, you reset horrify/spirit walk at each medium pack of trash enemies, can cast it again to rush to another room at nearly 100% movement speed (horrify+spirit walk). If elites are mixed with some trash enemies, you also get another cast of spirit walk, it is enough to kill them while in spirit walk state.

^similar build as mine :)

here's mine, never dies in solo act3 and face rolls thro any rare pack ive met so far.
dmg not uncommonly kicks above 200k with big bad voodo up which is 75%of all elite packs basically. throwing some nice 600k+ crits with bears^^

any1 know a way I can improve it? soul harvest feels rather wasted with the 50%int bonus from gruesome feast up

IAS kind of gimps your damage, cause you cast faster, and bears are weaker. I don't use ias, with 1.2k max damage spear, so my bears crit for 1m (with voodoo, soj 30 ed to elites, and mass confusion 20% more damage taken).
Imo stacking speed on this build should be last, cause it does increase dps, but at cost of mana consumption.
I'd suggest you getting better weapon, preferably spear/mace with socket and inteligence (crit bonus too expensive).
Also get a soj, 30% vs elites = sick damage boost. 100+ mana is also handy, and can get it with zombie bears cost reduced, but these are rare and fairly expensive.

I also tested lately version with acid cloud 24y rune, seems to wipe trash faster, and limit bears to elites.
You don't really need voodoo in solo games, it easily deals enough damage. That is annoying are some single trash enemies that are missed by bears, so putting best aoe skill in that slot, solves that problem (acid cloud).

i have alot of intelligence, try crit dmg 85+% and socket, with life on kill/lleech like mine. it gives me loads of more dmg compared to other.
the attack speed is nice for my playstyle, I surf through all of the places now with this build^^ horrify really pimps my speed.

mana consumption is really low for me compared to what it used to be now that I changed 20%dmg 30%mana vs 10%mana + 10%int (240 * 5 int possible! omg!) per health orb. With my mojo I pick up 1/2 screen when moving :D.
mana regen per sec is 75 (zunimassa +gg mana regen) and 10mana +2%mana per kill and 10%mana per health orb.

it's a rather sick geared wd atm so i dont know how itll work with budget gear tho

Sooooo... I need some help now. I switched to SoJ a while ago and I think that it boosted my dmg vs elites by a fair amount. Here's my profile:

So that SoJ is:
6% Holy dmg
+112 mana
21% dmg vs elites
12% dart dmg (I play darts)
On char screen I have 72k base dps with this (with Enchantress).

But now I found this ring:
64 int
74 vit
6 as
3 crit
28 crit dmg

It boosts my char screen dmg to 84.5k

Could someone who is not retarded in maths (unlike me) do some basic number crunching as to what the real difference in DPS vs elites is?

This is not shown in your DPS stats. SOJ is bigger dmg vs elites (72k * 1.21 = 87.1k)

(Correct me if I miss thiongs ofc^^)

I and the Dart dmg on top of that as well is very nice.

But I am pretty certain that it is not your char screen DPS that is multiplied by the multiplier?

problem is, weapon with 1100+ dps socket and crit bonus, will cost hundreds of millions, while you can get 1.2k dps, socket, and for example 200 int and 200 vit, for <50m. Or one with like 150 int only for 15m.. much cheaper.
