The way I understood this, you just defended the person you were trying to argue against.
In my opinion, the reason that there are so many exploits in D2 is that it's a dying game, and D3 has been on the way for quite some time now.
Why fix a dying game?

And to your argument on Blizzard's immunity to exploits, who are you to say they can't deal with them?

Yes, my argument was on the same side as his. However, his logic was flawed in stating that Blizzard has seemingly infinite funds and because of this, the game will not be exploited. That is fundamentally wrong.

Again, the hacking community is pretty skilled and has quite a bit of ingenuity with a healthy supply of new talent. The Blizzard security/Warden team is experienced and are paid full time to maintain the anti-hacking software which works kind of like an anti-virus solution. I would say it's pretty even on both sides. Only time will tell if Diablo 3 will be exploited like the previous installments.

And Starcraft, and L4D, and TF2, and Guild Wars, and Battlefield, and Torchlight, and Oblivion/Morrowind, etc.

So because Diablo 2 is a dying game, it means your ok with farm sites spaming 100 pages of BS, leting anyone run bot programs, and-or dupes, exploits etc..............?? Oh its a dying game.. its ok, I understand. When will it be "dead", and not"dying"?

Anyway, my thread is more about Diablo 3 and not Diablo 2. Im using Diablo 2 as a starting template to learn from.

As far as Starcraft, thats a RTS, how much fucking matinence could you possibly need on that? Its the same shit over and over.........Guild Wars? You want a new expansion every month or so? Hell I love new content but Jesus, I have a life out of gaming. Plus how can you use guild wars... you proly pay more then a P2P game in fucking expansion pack purchases....

p2p sux hard,

dupers, bots, hackers and so on would be much more, because they can earn more $

another fact is, that many ppl wont buy d3 because they work and wont spend their money on game and they dont have enough time to play it because of real life.
For example a worker on the building finishes his work at 17:30, depends on way back to home/eating +1 hour 18:30, and maybe they do something with their friends.. so this day they wont play.
because they have to choose weither i want play a game (pixels and i have to pay for it) or he does something with his reallife friends.

and imo 10-15$ a mounth is way to much, thats: 120-180$ a year, isnt much money but for this you can buy many things better, good party with friends ...

blizzard already got enough coins, i dont want to make them richer then they already are, if there play 100 000 people d3 they earn 1,8m each year (there will play more people but only took small number to show it)

thats just my opinion about p2p

Yall act like Blizzard is making straight profit off everything and anything they do.
You're right, they don't pay their employees, their electric/gas/water etc etc bills.
They don't pay for utilities, anything at all, it's just straight up free, ALL PROFIT $$$$$$$$

Ok guys let get this straight.

If you QQ about paying 10$-15$ a month to pay to play for a game, I think your living in like 1995 first of all.

The reason im saying this is, I dont want Diablo 3 to end up like Diablo 2.  I.E, scammmers, bots, cheat, hacks, dupes, spam, non english speakin people who are geting paid 1$ a week in a sweatshop because we want that bad ass item.

Ill go into detail.  When a company stops selling there game in mass amounts, they no longer are making decent $$ to support that game, whatever it may be. So charging a small amount every month gives them ability to support it, and solve the problems such as cheaters, viruses, hacks, gold farmers wtf ever...... AND ADD NEW CONTENT, AND FIX THE OLD OFC :)

I personally also wouldnt want the guild wars approach either,...... coming out with an expansion every time someone cries so they can support there non paying game.

If Diablo 3 is not pay to play, I give it a few months before it turns into the shit hole that d2 did.

Opinions? Flames? Donations :) ?

I lol'd so hard...

But I agree

This is stupid.. They make plenty of profit.. do you realise how the amount of players they have? each paying 15 dollars a MONTH.. They dont spend over 15,000,000 a month on bills and paying employees... we all know they make profit and this number is just off saying that they only have 1 million users on world of warcraft that doesnt count the merchandise and in game pets and shit they sell.. Learn 2 troll GTFO

I'm saying they have no need to stop it.
Starcraft, you'd be surprised.
Guild Wars has new updates/patches on average every few days.
I've paid probably $80 for my Guild Wars items, and that's basically for four games.

Stop? There should have never been a need for stop.... There should of been a "not happened" before the shit even spawned.

Has nothing to do with that. Has everything to do with a "poor defense system".

I doubt the smartest hackers in the world are trying to exploit d2, its some kid in his garage who thinks hes cool.
