I'm currently looking on trying to upgrade my monk's DPS while staying with the same EHP (or getting even more EHP) and keeping dual life steal. What would you guys do to improve my current monk? I'm looking to play high level MP's and prefer not really paying attention hence why I'm going with dual life steal.

I also just bought a Blackthorne's chest as I saw several people commenting that it's a very strong piece and I saw one for 8 million and thought it was a good deal so I just bought it.

If I replace my tal's chest with it, I'll lose 10,824 dps, but gain 96,892 ehp. Would you guys do it?

11k dps versus 100k ehp is tough call. I think it depends on how you define 'high mps'...

For mp8 and below, your EHP should be fine, 170k with 5LS is plenty for survivability. Don't lose any dps otherwise you will slow down.

For mp9+, your EHP is a bit low if you tend to relax during the runs. Get a 170+ vit inna's pants, put on your new chest and then focus on dps on other spots.

Hey so I decided to try and get a TR bell dropper build going before 1.7. I bought a skorn roughly 1340dps, 185CH, 300dex, socket for 3mil. With 140kdps i was able to clear ML2 easy enough and see the potential for ML5 in 1.7

build was FoT-Thunderclap
Sweeping winds-inner storm
TR-speed boost
serenity - 4sec
Bells with +dmg
MoH +3spi/sec

passives are OwE
+1spr/sec and 100max spi
+35%spi

this build can get up to 18spi/sec for me when im moving. my spi pieces are an SoJ,Radience and 4piece bonus. my SoJ is shit for now except the spi stat

Since the was working so well i bought a 1340dps, 300dex, 195ch, socket, 5.5LS for 150mil and ran ML2 again. i dont notice any healing whatsoever from the LS. should i sell this thing and buy a higher DPS one? why is the LS on these so important? everything gets 1 shot anyway. the rare and eliet packs take 3 or 4 bells sometimes but again. if im not killing things and healing from globes im dead anyway

i think LS% is a must even on mp2?

I cleared MP2 with both weapons and the only difference i noticed was the 147mil missing from my bank.

Mp2 everythings 1 shot. Nothing much dmg you much. So lifsteal doesn't matter.

This Bell build is for farming high mp games like mp7

I've been testing this with other monks on this thread for two days. All with life steal skorn playing on mp7.

Works so well. And its just so fun to play.

So no don't sell that skorn.

With low MPs ... LS Skorn is not required.
However, MP7 definitely needs LS Skorn.
Got a good deal yesterday (1322dps, 330dex, 180cd, socket, 5.7LS ... for 99M)

I find the TR Bell setup to be very fun.
There a few things I like to try though.
With jailer, desecrator, arcane elites ... it is very messy.
So, instead of Ally, I wanna change to serenity. (without OWE and STI, our armour is around 4K and all res to be around 480)
And instead of Crippling wave - Rising tide (extra 5 spirit when crit) ... go with FoT - tele, to get out from being jailed... really missed teleporting around.
Hope FoT can generate enough spirit to keep spamming Bells.

In 1.06 .... my Bells only do up to 500K dmg
In 1.07 .... Ghost's testing numbers are super high in the Millions.

Will do some more testing later tonight.

That is my current setup. with the testing you guys have done do you have any suggestions what i would need to change in prep for 1.7? what kind of DPS are you pushing for ML7 TR/Bell. I know i should get a better SoJ but i only have 50mil and the good ones are just to much for now. I also already have a 180vit, 60CD, 400LPS, 40MF, 1.53Spi/Sec Xeph but it drops me to 120kdps.

my plan for now was to just save the 50mil and try to craft AR gloves, Amulet and bracer when 1.7 comes out.
