I really hate running away from every elite pack kiting. In diablo 2 teleport was really op, now you have to kite backwards like a pussy unless you are facetanking elites. If I were rich I would gather a set gear with armor and resists so high that I would be able to dismiss my shield. Untill then it's really not noticable in terms of dps drop but my survivability boost from that shield is fucking huge.

Wizards are different from Barbs in that our best defense is a good offense. The idea is that our ranged attacks will kill everything before it gets close. A sheild is only useful if you are getting hit which, if you play properly, shouldnt happen at all unless you have fast monsters.
