My damage is also a bit lower since I'm using a poorly rolled ring of grandeur over my str trifecta rare, but I like the reduced set bonus a lot.

double edit: at some point today I'll test both builds against t6 ghom and let you know my effective dps over a minute. I have the ammy that ignores poison damage so I can stand in his farts.

Pros and Cons of the build:

+
- Rather safe due to all survival and utility abilities.
- Lots of "invisible" EHP coming from block, physical damage should not be an issue.
- Quite high single target DPS.
- Amazing for party play with other classes that have lots of AoE. Your job is simple: keep the mobs at bay and focus on killing elites.

-
- Lack of sustained AoE DMG (bombardment being the only AoE skill).
- Wrath generation might be an issue because of the high cost of the Shield Bash ability (it can be easily resolved if you get a 4p and 6p of the Akkhan set or simply craft the Piro Marella legendary shield).
- Not so good for solo farming (unless you go for some AoE alternatives like Heaven's Fury/Shattered Shield rune on Shield Bash).

I use a fire crusader build using sweep attack, falling sword, punish...all fire. I also use a maximus to get the maximum fire chains dmg (its alot ,7m a tick and ticks FAST). A buddy of mine is going for the jerk shield to create that build. Once I find the wep and shield, im going to try this with my fire build. Will only lose the 20% fire dmg on my maximus. Should be interesting.

Got mine a little more fine tuned. No longer need a wrath generator other than provoke. Need a bit more cool down reduction and it will be perfect. From there it'll be upgrading to better versions of what I already have!

All in all a very fun build.

Fires of heaven is viable again if you find a fate of the fell. I lost 200k DPs switching to this from my decimator but the affix made the build worth it.
