Try import your profile to d3rawr.com (detailed ehp / damage tab). You can play with those numbers to see what work best for ya and double check items before you buy them off AH.

That's my monk that I'm trying to equip in order to farm efficiently mp7+. Now I have about 800 all res, 100k dps, 5.10% ls and 750 loh, but I find myself dying at any heavy arcane elite (arcanes do insane dmg to me, arcane + waller is unbearable). Elite combos like extra health + molten + reflects damage or reflects damage + health link + electrified give me no life return (I have to kill 1 or 2 mobs from the first combo to be able to leech anything). What is more, I can hardly kill any Blazing guardian elite in the Vault of the assassin (impossible if it's a horde, fast or arcane) or Magewrath elite while it's whirling.
I was told I have to change my weapons, can you advise me what to buy (the budget should be about 150m + the eventual income of both weapons)? I have rare bracers on my demon hunter which I can use instead of lacuni's. I use a rare ring (61 dex, 67 vit, 59 all res, 6 ias, 5.5 cc) and witching hour (71 dex, 120 int, 60 poison res, 9 ias, 38 cd, health globe bonus), and seize the initiative over fleet footed (that's my paragon levelling build now). Should I change anything else? Thanks in advance.

Plugged your numbers in... your EHP looks really low. Seize the initiative should boost it up a bit. I also disagree with inna's set here as the belt and chest make your sacrifice a lot of defensive points.

Although 5.1LS is great, 100k dps is not so hot. There are a couple reasons for this... You're missing crit damage and crit hit % in a few places. You can get crit damage% on your gloves and if you can afford it, a witching hour belt. Also, your crit% is low. You're not topping it off. Ammy and gloves can go up to 10% and your bracer can go up to 6.

I would start by replacing your lacuni prowlers. Increased attack speed is not as important as crit% and the movement speed is redundant (can't go over 25%, so why have 36%?). Bracers can play a huge part in monk defense. You should pick up high dex/vit/double-res/armor/6% crit bracers. Good luck with that.

Has anyone tried PvE in the new patch? I'm trying to read up reports on the SW changes, but it's confusing me...

1) Did our DPS drop? The way I see it, cyclones was buffed to balance the blinding flash snapshot bonus... so what's the overall change in our dps?

2) Was it even fixed? people are saying that you can still snapshot, but only for Life steal?

What is snapshot?

Snapshot is when you "hold" a buffed DPS and life steal with Sweeping Winds permantly. ie. blinding flash -> sweeping winds, keep 30% buff until sweeping winds ends.

This was exploited with builds that swapped gear to get a ridiculous DPS "snapshot" and then used high attack speed/crit% gear to spit out as many lifestealing cyclones as possible

Also heard Snapshot LS still works

Heard a lot ppl talking about the LS snapshot, guess blizz will fix it pretty soon. But even it stays as is, the exploit is fixed to great extent.

And they are working on Vanishing dye for leg items, how cool is that! Cannot wait to 'get rid of' VW.

Further reading suggests that we have lost single-target DPS... about 6% as MONKster stated. However, some monks have argued that using other skills actually speeds up our looting runs because the bell does crazy multi-target DPS. Lashing Tail Kick with 50% stun is also a decent option. Personally, I think exploding palm (actually my favorite skill) can make a comeback (i miss our triple loot days..)

Can't wait to dye off legendaries. My true wish is to "imbue" the looks of one item onto another. That would definitely get rid of a lot of crap items on the AH as well...
