Rend does the same thing to me. like 5-6 seconds under rend DOT, i'm have like very small hp left. It's weird how these DOT dmg do so much dmg.

Just fighting against barbs is easy. no chance against me since i use moe with hard target. puts me around 70% dodge.

its just those DOT shits that bother me against fat barb and wd.

no way to really avoid it tbh, he can just charge at you with 1 full cd rotation.

you cant really out tank rend.

rend only does damage if it crits though

I know that you'll probably be busy with pvp but I wanted to ask you some advices to continue with my monk !

Anyone test out the thorns mantra? How well does the reflect work in pk or is it complete crap? Id figure if the reflect works... It might be somethin to battle DOT attacks cause that should reflect back at them or no? How about submission rune of MoC? Is that any useful as its passive dam but prolly only good if you wear a skorn n go bell dropper cause weap dam prolly wont be enough unless its skorn?

hp is too low, get more vit, life% doesn't help much if vit is low; later on collect some ruby and upgrade your gem in helm (or buy one if you have gold)
get better bracers with 6cc dex/vit and stacked res
gloves are bad, need more dex/cc/cd, get a trifecta with your res for somewhere around 80m (that is the price on us server)
amulet is really bad... you should be able to craft a better one fairly easily (lol) after 1.0.7 but it may take you a while to find the right recipe with your current gear... I reckon you have better chance to snipe a really nice amu from AH this week as less ppl would be bidding on amulet atm, I suppose.
Get a good Unity with proper average dmg and cd for anything other than plvling. Get a better HF for plvling/farming.

Save up and get a gg inna's pants (170vit + 9ias) after above upgrades. For now, get a 9ias + 58res / 130vit ones if you see a deal.

This is gay. Doesnt work. I was excited about this mantra too.

Think about it dude. They DoTs are like 600-1200% weapon damage. It's the same as us dropping a bell or SSS except its not dodge or blockable. So of course you are gonna get 1 or 2 shotted, that's the same mechanic many monks are using to win. This is how every other class feels against us...

The answer is ehp, regen and mitigation. Imagine a monk tanking 4 or 5 bells. Set up for that and you'll win without a problem.

The only reflect that's really viable is the Karma rune for Serenity. It actually does a detectable amount of damage. All other reflect is "after" mitigation, and then they mitigate THAT so it's double mitigated damage which = no damage.

As for submission, there are TOO many good options to go with Conviction - except the snare rune. Dishearten is GG in FFA pubs
