Whenever someone has told me they just get a ? they have been using backspace instead of delete. I have seen this happen many times now. If you truly are using the delete key, then I have no idea - it would make you the first person to have this error.

Just in case, try hitting delete a few more times. If hitting it some more does not work, I'll swear on ikusus's left teletubby testicle that you're using not using the actual delete key.
