I fixed some things on the theorycrafting spreadsheet for monks.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak0hueccAWkpdFAtTFlSM29MUHktOS1JTzBCLVZFc0E#gid=4-Plug in your gear's stats and it will automatically tell you all your defensive information (bottom middle)
-Hypothetical DPS (omni-damage) built in to help assess upgrade options (bottom right)
-It tells you, based on your current stats, how many EHP you gain from each stat (str, dex, vit, and resist) (top middle)
-Accepts a few build options such as one with everything and seize the initiative to help determine actual performance (top right)
-It works really well if you record your current EHP, plug in a potential upgrade item, and compare. This way you can test gear before purchasing. Believe me that it's not always obvious which item is better!
Some things to take away:
-Diminishing returns are
not important. Although you gain less damage reduction for each armor point added, for example, you are applying that smaller reduction to a smaller base pool which means the increase is still linear.
-Stat priorities are
based on what your current stats areTo be added:
-More build options (skills)
-DPS stats
-Optimization
-Item ratings including DPS
Edit: To use the sheet you will have to make a copy by either downloading it or saving it to your own google doc account.
