Man, don't ban all skills. I agree about the life regen, but the other things with sentries are just nonsense.
Keep it simple, stupid (KISS PRINCIPLE). Otherwise we scare off all new lld players with 275747427 rules.
play against a demon hunter who has 3 sentries up hitting u at once and just keeps SSing between them,( this is my only issue with the demon hunter it really is)
Try playing a melle character against a wd who has u feared, and chickened for 90% of a fight, jaunts away whenever u get close, and gotta love that free death even if you do manage to kill them once, no character should get a free death.all this while constantly hitting u with leadping spiders from off screen repping life.
or fighting a barb who has like 7k defense,12klife and all they have to do is put on ignore pain+2%max life per second passive on, and they are pretty much healed to full.
remember how using even a pot in duels was bm, but we allow stupid amounts of rep life, or skills that do alot of healing?
LLd in d2 had alot of rules that made it gm and fun,if not why not just wear more suited pvp gear and duel at 60?
I think the reason most people disagree with these rules is from lack of experience with these situations. i duel just about everyday, and live i have said
dueling a wd who has u cc'd and is offscreen killilng u=not fun
fighting a dh who kites u around 3 sentries= not fun
fighting a barb with 12k life who is repping like 300+-400+ life per second = not fun
I think with a little more dueling most people will come to agree with what ive said. really the only way to beat these situations are to be like 3 gear levels higher than the person your fighting, cant really call that being skilled with your character.
and id rather have a smaller community who enjoyed GM dueling, then a bunch of people using skills that make them unkillable and claim that its " fun" or " gm"
but this is just the opinion of 1 person, the rest of you will have to decide what you want to take away from your experience, and what type of community you want to have in the end.
