Ill go into detail.  When a company stops selling there game in mass amounts, they no longer are making decent $$ to support that game, whatever it may be. So charging a small amount every month gives them ability to support it, and solve the problems such as cheaters, viruses, hacks, gold farmers wtf ever...... AND ADD NEW CONTENT, AND FIX THE OLD OFC :)

I personally also wouldnt want the guild wars approach either,...... coming out with an expansion every time someone cries so they can support there non paying game.

If Diablo 3 is not pay to play, I give it a few months before it turns into the shit hole that d2 did.

Opinions? Flames? Donations :) ?


lets look at wow ok ? u pay every month and game is sill shit hole full of hackers/botters/farmers/etc

you clearly dont play the game. That crap will exsist in any massive game regardless of how much they try to get rid of it. What you are paying for is constantly growing updated content, bug and exploit fixes, customer service. And above that if you cant afford $15...get the hell off the internet and get a McJob!!

technology has grown so far that customer service is based of an app where you file through and if you need a calling center for diablo 3 your basically a 10 year old

diablo 3 will not be p2p for simple reasons, game will be succesfull and blizzard does not care about exploits becouse it costs them money to prevent them
why do u think u have to pay for an authenticator on wow?

they will most likely develop a non "bullet-proof" system to avoid exploits which if abused will allow for a possible patch

belive me or not but i got job :) and i can afford 15 $ ;) all im saying that even if ull pay those 15$ it wont help shit against hackers/botters/farmers/etc

hack and bots can be patched but farmers or currency exploiters are just a fact of online gaming. Overall personally i would rather pay $15 a month and have d3 updated with new content and bosses constantly rather grind the same 5 bosses for 10years like d2.

pretty much every game that charges monthly is full or botters/hackers and charging u money every month will not fix it. as long as there are games there will be hackers/botters/farmers/etc and paying for a game every month will not fix it

your very wrong, every major game will have that stuff but in wow when stuff like that happens...they patch and so people have to find new ways to hack the game which is inevitable. What you are paying for is consistency and content at the end of the day. The fact of the matter is that most people who are against p2p are people that still play d2 and are too cheap to find a new game. If d3 isnt p2p ill be disappointed because the content is gonna suck just like d2!!
