There is a very limited amount of players that have even reached Inferno yet, let alone broken the 100k DPS cap. It's an incredibly small portion of the player base and while it shouldn't be completely discounted, it shouldn't singled out, either. Eventually, everybody in Inferno will hit that 100k DPS mark without having to farm all day for weeks. Once this happens, IAS will be remembered as just a simpler way of reaching a high on-screen DPS.

DPS doesn't always determine a character's killing speeds (especially when considering the Wizard). This will, for example, not effect me in the slightest--except for the animation, if they change that as well.
