I'm looking for a high dps dh that has survivability as well. I'm not sure exactly what skills to use to obtain this and also what items I should be looking to upgrade. I know I am a long way to be amazing, but something decent for now is what im going for.

3 pc legacy nats is holding you back. Without the 4th piece to get that bonus, those pieces are worse than decently rolled rares.
If you are adamant about keeping legacy nats then I can't really offer much advice other than to upgrade your shoulders and belt to comparable dex/vit/allres. Otherwise, read on.
Pants - search ah for 100 dex, 100 vit, 50 all res, 2 sockets. 1-2mill for upgrade
Shoulders - search ah for 150 dex, 75 vit, 50 all res, armor. 1-2mill for upgrade
Belt - search ah for 150 dex, 75 vit, 50 all res. 1-2mill for upgrade
Nats boots - 150+ dex 70+all res, 15-20 mill
Nats chest - 100 dex, 150 vit, 5-10 mill
Nat's hat - any crit will cost you upwards of 10 mill, adding vit or all res increases this dramatically. You may be better off snagging an old mempo with under 100 dex and crit. You definitely want a socket to hold a %life gem.
If you want to stick with a bow, your jewelry isn't bad. Maybe a damage roll on your amulet to help.
Hungering arrow is great single target dps. Once you get 50+ crit, I find that spray of teeth will give you more consistent damage over devouring arrow, as well as add some AoE. Bola shot is both great for tanking (thunderball), aoe damage, or higher single target damage (imminent doom)
Sentry (guardian turret) is a great hatred spender. Each turret basically provides a free autoattack for you giving you significant damage increases as well as a defensive boost.
Once you are able to get your resists up, you'll be able to drop smoke screen in favor of shadow power. This allows you another slot for a hatred spender. Spike traps (scatter or echoing blast) gives good AoE burst damage.
Numbing traps passive gives a damage reduction to both sentry and spike traps, which helps with your survivability since you are dropping smoke screen. You should be able to give up tactical mastery. And if you dont like vault without tactical mastery, marked for death with mortal enemy will give you a dps boost as well as hatred regen boost to help you lay more spike traps while maintaining sentries.
edit:
Spike trap (scatter) advanced tactics:
You generally want to place the spike traps at your feet in such a way that you'll make the mobs hit at least 2/3 traps.
When kiting place the traps at your feet in parallel to your run direction. i.e. if you are running downward, place the traps either on the right or left side of your character so the traps are laid out vertically (up and down). This will cause the mobs you are kiting to hit all 3 traps.
Use choke points to make your traps lay on top of each other. Traps can only be placed where you can walk. If you are facing a wall and lay a trap, they will be laid down spread out across the wall. However, if you run up to the wall and face parallel to it, you can lay two traps up against the wall and one will be out just a little. This allows you to hit a single mob with 2 traps. Choke points (doorways in keep depths) allow you to stack all 3 traps on top of each other.
The last way to get 2 traps to hit a single target, I learned while fighting cydaea. If you simply right click on her, it centers the middle trap on her and the other two are on either side of her, but will not explode. However, if you lay the trap just to the right or left of her, you will get her body in between two of the traps and both will explode.
Finally, larger mobs like demonic tremors and bosses are large enough to trigger all 3 traps.
