I normally would semi-clear the road to alcarnus, but ever since they nerfed the goblin spawn, I just run straight to alcarnus now

the i take the path to the oasis wp and go down the sewers, there is always an elite quite close.
then i take the oasis wp and check for the tomb of khan dabab (or whatever^) event and for the cellar on the right end of the oasis. the tomb of sardar event is also nice if you run into it. i dont explore anything else of the oasis, its a waste of time!
then ancient path (often times a gob there), desolate sands, then i check all of the desolate sands (3-5 elites!) and clear the vault. then, i take the archives wp and go to the realm of shadows. there is (almost) always an elite pack near the entrance. then i finish the run off with kulle.
takes me about 35 minutes on my double nado barb, for about 23-37 elites plus kulle. checking the whole desolate sands obviously is only a good idea for barbs, other chars better skip that part.
