I don't doubt that it happens, but the fact still remains that if there was a compromise and they had an authenticator, it is due to backdoor programs or malware.

and in that topic the blue makes it clear that it is not as safe as the physical or mobile one

The post on the main page said that NONE of the hacking victims had authenticators. Are you saying that there were hacked accounts with an authenticator? If that is the case maybe you should have the security post updated to avoid BLATANTLY LYING to your customers.

Sorry for not being more specific on that. The hacks I was referring to were from the last five years of WoW compromises, not the current D3 compromises. None of the D3 compromises that we've checked have actually had authenticators, despite their claims.

Flawless logic, users get malware/keyloggers/visit a site and get something, and it's obviously blizzards fault

there is nobody forcing you to use an authenticator, but it's an extra layer of protection that's free most of the time. If you think you can keep your computer 100% safe then by all means don't use one.

i got logged into.

logged back in within 5 seconds and didnt lose anything.

changed password only, didnt get auth, and havent been hacked since.

i guess now that i have 3x as much gold and 10x better items it scares off whoever tried to take it.

or else the "keylogger" i guess i have only works once.
