Try it spiritual attunement, vq with the strat I listed above. Once you see the buff not resetting recast and spam bears again. It is nearly infinite. You do know they buffed our base mana regen right?

anyone tried using a high dps (1400+) slow (0.9 aps 2-hand mace) with dot spells (grasp of the dead, wall of zombies) and pets before?

as far as I understand these things are not scaling with attack speed, since they are either damage over time spells or summons with normal hits that only scale with your weapon damage.

having let's say a 1400+ dps 300+ int 200+ vit 100+ crit dmg weapon would make a dot/summoner build with firebombs pretty viable.

what do you think?

Well, for me RoT was way better than firebomb after this patch, since I got loh in my build.

I was using a ceremonial weapon and mojo and got my hands on a pretty good 1380 dps 2 hander with 430 int vit attack speed and a socket. Needless to say pets hit a LOT harder. Specially the gargantuan. Dots like grasp, or dot from acid cloud etc tick really high. I think my grasp dots with the extra damage rune was proccing at 22-27k a second.

To be honest as it is the best weapon in the game for a WD is a skorn with 1400+ dps, 400+ int 200 crit damage base and a socket.

Thats equivalent to a 1700-1750 dps weapon with 300 crit damage (100 gem) plus the other stats on it. I dont think there is a source + mainhand combination that can honestly beat that even rolled near perfect. Maybe some of the new legendaries but mojos are still only going to 410 or so damage top end.

that's what I thought as well, it will probably lower my dps on the character sheet, but the actual damage I will be doing will skyrocket.

also: does attack speed have any effect on how fast my pets are attacking?

other one: can dots (grasp or wall of zombies) and pet attacks crit?

No the pets attack at the same rate. Im guessing any speed calculations are calculated when you summon them to average out damage vs attack speed? My weapon upped my sheet damage too by about 5-6k. Dont underestimate those high int high damage 2 handers. My source is pretty gg and my mainhand was a 15 mill main hand. The 2 hander cost me 4 million and it outdoes them lol even with the loss of crit from the offhand etc. I dont know about those but something is criting because I see yellow numbers a lot. Pretty sure they can all crit.

I can do Act 3 pretty easy with this, but I want to buy some new items (legendarys has improved) in some weeks when prices drops.

Got over 100 millions gold, so could buy something new at least.

with the new dmg mods , set for the wd in this new patch, i have come you with a new build in 1.04 , changin the soul harvest /sirit walk runes , to a non def spec and adding a dps burst might change how the wd is played,but still keeping your pets ,and alowing for the 2 handers to shine , just change the some of the other skill to your liking

so I'd like to start doing act 3 solo. it's going painfully slowly and when I come across arcane/molten/plagued/electrified (any of these two at the same time), my pets just melt.

any suggestions what I should change buildwise and/or gearwise? the only downside is that I only have a 6m budget.
