You can't put fake items anymore (will boot you off battle.net when sending) ...

you can do something like:

put cursor between chars, del del del, select parts of code you want altered and input your own, now go to the first char of the text box and hit del, then put | - it should be linkable again, with edited stats. But you can't send that anyway...

Too long to read through this crap but this is how you know the affix number

The underlined number -2 shows the affix number so in this case it is 7-2= 5 for 5 affixes
