I've noticed the people that have been hacked on Diablo 3 (the ones I personally know at least) were also ones who used bots/hacks/mods on D2 or played private D2 servers etc.

Maybe that had something to do with it.

I remember about the usernames, but never used a capital letter for pass in d2 so never tried.

I think blizzard could use that feature
