It's suppost to be an open world. He said there will be different worlds on this game. Meaning you can be in that world with abunch of people. The instant join feature is almost like pressing for dungeon runs on wow. When you press it and it take you to where you can level with other people that are same level as you. They already said it would have more events, storyline, and more to offer than any of the previous games they've made (wow,sc,etc.).
By the way the game is already done. Yes people have already played the demo. Bad thing is you have to go wherever blizzon con holds there events. They don't go my percentage of the game. They know when its done when they know when its done. From the views already of blizzcon. Gamers from all over went and Jay said they enjoyed the game. Which means they know it's done. Only thing to add is new texture and that 5th character. Also, new update on 5th character will we get to see it this year? Who knows, but the chance of seeing it is high. I plan on traveling to where the next event will be at. Hopefully I can take the camcorder inside and get a good view of everything.
The release date of sc2 should be this month and wow sometime this year. Diablo III could be January 1st, 2011 when all sales go on. That's my prediction since the game is already done and they want to release it at a certain time where sales are good. So after christmas would work out good.
This again? You are a trusted member, yet you give out false information like it's fact everywhere I go. Where to start? okay, first of all.. They said there will be more content/storyline etc for previous INSTALLMENTS OF THE SERIES, I.E. Diablo 1 and 2, not WoW or SC. You have to be insane if you think Diablo 3 will come anywhere near the content WoW has/will have.
The game IS NOT DONE, Just because people can play a 10-15 minute demo of a very small confined area with most of the systems turned off(runes/newskill system/respec ETC) doesn't mean it's close to finished. Proof? See starcraft:ghost for a good example, they had demos of that in 2005.. Now look at it, it's cancelled. They had playable demos of SC2 in 2008. It's now hopefully getting released late 2011 early 2012.(They say mid-summer)
Edit: I read that part a little wrong, my bad, but on a lighter note, they are done with the major engines/decisions, but that doesn't mean they are close. They have to actually create the content now, which like they said a few times, is the most time-consuming part of it.
They have also revamped many systems since blizzcon, the skill trees arn't skill trees anymore, they are some new type of talent system.
They havn't even started the itemization(they know a few ideas of it though) and they still don't have big things like a working auction house and they havn't even started the development that takes part of Battle.net 2.0(Matchmaking, channels, etc) and they have only touched pvp.
P.S. Blizzard doesn't care when they release their games, they have always been at random dates. My assumption is june 28th, D2 and LoD were released on june 28th and D3 was announced june 29th(1 day off sadly, but you can see they want a trend.)
