I just feel that if we allow too high a gem teir that it will overpower hard earned gear, and with the new ones if you gear is good enough (high dmg stat) i will be the first to confirm, it makes a huge difference.
Im talking beyond the current 20-20 radiants. Anything that puts your wep at 200dmg+ will give some of my characters the ability to end a duel in 3 - 10 hits guaranteed and thats a wee bit short to me.
Now on the flip side, if we do manage to overcome the replenish part of the equation, maybe it's for the best to use a higher gem tier.
Just need to test it i suppose, which i haven't been able to.
my concern is an awful geared monk with silly weapon damage can just SSS something and it undermines all character development entirely because of sheer damage.
what will happen is, people will just socket stam instead of int or str or dex and just lose res/armor/dodge. If we need to up the damage, id be really in favour of a bigger spread of testing to define which gem makes it more balanced.
whether its 20/20 or whatever.
