Hey guys, how are you able to reach so high dps, atm my dps out buff is 11.8k which is incredible low compared to you guys, any advice ?

I use the exact same setup. What act are you trying to do atm? Cuz I was thinking of upgrading my items as well (with not as much fg :o)

I got stuck in A3 until I was willing to change my build to Deadly Reach + Firestorm. It helps *big time* against mobs that 1-2 shot you at melee range.



Save money, buy a new weapon. And stack dex. At my current gear range, ~50 dex is about a 1k dps boost.

Nice. Some things I'm noticing that are different between your gear and mine:

-- lots more vit (you have 53k hp, I'm just barely under 30k)
-- about the same dex, armor
-- a lot *less* damage (15k vs. 19k damage unbuffed, 17k vs 29k damage fully buffed)
-- a crapton more LoH (i'm at around 400, you're at 1600)

Maybe I need to switch my gear around and go a lot more defensive. I have no idea how I can start doing that though.

because of the thunderclap rune your time on target is 100% which means you are constantly DPSing, which means your dps is higher than using any other spirit generator



yeah i did the same. but i am pissed at the game design that makes monks basically become a really shitty ranged in order to progress

I personally like FoT "Lightning Flash" and Dashing Strike "Blinding Speed" on my dual wielding Monk for
73% dodge while in combat. Using Dashing Strike as gap closer ofc.

Since Deadly Reach is essentially a make shift "gap closer", i use Lightning Flash as well, instead of Thunderclap.

So far doing pretty good in Act2.

i sometimes switch Hard Target for Backlash for even more Defense/DPS hybrid options (depending on the mob types of a zone).
With so much Dodge % stacking, and a large majority of fights are with melee mobs, you'd be amazed how much dmg and how OFTEN Backlash proccs.
Can also switch Blazing Wrath for the Fear instead if more survival needed.

The thing is that I find armor and damage reduction to be far more valuable than dodge - not to mention that they synergize much better with LoH. Constant, reduced incoming damage works much better with constant incoming heals from LoH, whereas with Dodge you're taking much spikier damage and hoping that you stay lucky long enough to heal up before the next big hit comes.

You can reliably one-shot Belial with sufficient armor/DR (I've even tanked his bombs by accident and lived to tell the tale), but with dodge stacking you're pretty much left to the RNG gods with avoiding those big hits.

I'm basically using Mantra of Evasion right now just for the armor bonus. The dodge is nice, but if there were a Mantra with armor increase, I'd use that over Evasion any day.

How much dps you guys recommend on the weapon atm i got 600 dps which gives 1xx dex + 500 LoH

600dps + 100dex isn't bad actually. You should be getting much higher DPS with that... so I imagine that you don't have enough attack speed.
